ROBBY GLANTZ POWER SKATING SCHOOL
Here At Melody Brook March 8th , 10th , & 11th

In March of 2001, Robby Glantz Int’l Power Skating School will be holding a clinic at Melody Brook. Robby and his staff, as always, will be teaching the fundamentals for hockey, speed and power (including their famous resistance and overspeed bungie cord training), PLUS, new things added to Robby’s clinic including more speed and explosiveness with the puck, more fakes, side-to-side moves (also with the puck), how to win one-on-one battles and much more.

The Robby Glantz 2001 brochure will be available in December, so stop by the rink or call to register…and, if you would like us to send you brochures and/or to distribute to friends, teammates, ice rinks, hockey shops, etc., simply let us know, and we will send them out as soon as they become available.

HURON HOCKEY SCHOOL

Melody Brook will host the world famous Huron Hockey School from August 19th through 24th for ages 6-14. Huron’s progressive clinic includes three hours of on-ice instruction daily including power skating, puck skill development, game situations and checking techniques. Huron’s reputation in the hockey community is well recognized and counts over 500 graduates that went on to become members of NHL teams, so don’t miss this clinic!

Each child has one hour skating on Sundays registration.
Monday through Friday, class times will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. approximately.

Power Skating

Achieve balance and edge control
Increase acceleration, power and agility
Build leg speed and quickness

Puck Skill Development

Develop puck control and stickhandling confidence
Strengthen passing and receiving skills
Master shot accuracy and shooting to score

Game Situations & Techniques

Learn positional play and breakouts

Checking - Ages 10+

Understand board utilization and checking angles
Progress through Huron’s “Six Station” checking system

Improve technique through biomechanical analysis of skating posture
Experience motivational and interactive classroom sessions
